Waziri wa sheria na katiba Abubakar Khamis Bakary alitoa kauli hiyo wakati akijibu maswali ya waandishi wa habari juu ya maazimio yaliyofikiwa na baraza la chama la Halmashauri kuu ya Taifa.
Mawaziri wengine waliojiuzulu ni Fatma Abdulhabibu Fereji,Waziri wa Nchi ofisi ya Makamu wa Rais wa kwanza, waziri wa Biashara, Viwanda na Makoso Nassor Ahmed Mazrui, Waziri wa Miundombinu na Mawasiliano Juma Duni Haji, Waziri wa afya Rashidi Suleiman na Waziri wa Uvuvi na Mifugo Abdillah Jihadi.
Na wengine ni, Haji Mwandani Makame aliyekuwa Naibu Waziri wa Ardhi na Nyumba, Maji na Nishati, Naibu waziri wa Elimu na Mafunzo Zahara Ali Hamed na Naibu Waziri wa Kilimo Maliasili Mtumwa Kheir Mbarak.
Kwa mujibu wa Abubakary kila Waziri na Manaibu wao wamekabidhi magari ya serikali na vifaa vingine kwa mamlaka na kwa mujibu wa kifungu cha sheria cha (28) ya katiba ya Zanzibar, umiliki wa ofisi kwa ajili ya wote akiwemo na Rais Dr Ali Mohamed Shein na mawaziri kumalizika Novemba 2.

Six Zanzibar Cabinet ministers, all from the opposition Civic United Front, yesterday quit the Isles Government of National Unity (GNU).
The ministers have taken the move as the Isles political impasse still unresolved. The Zanzibar Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Abubakar Khamis Bakary made the statement yesterday when responding to questions from journalists during a media briefing on the resolutions reached by the party?s National Executive Council. According to Abubakary, all the ministers and their deputies have surrendered government vehicles and other equipment to the authorities.
He said according to Section 28 (2) of the Zanzibar Constitution, the tenure of office for both President Dr Ali Mohamed Shein and ministers ended on November 2. ?I have surrendered the government vehicle and other equipment ? I am no longer Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs,? said Abubakary said, insisting that his fellow ministers have also resigned.
He said the House of Representatives was dissolved in August 13, this year as per the 1984 Constitution and is supposed to resume business after 90 days - on November 12, this year. Meanwhile, Said Ali Mabrouk who was Minister for Information, Culture and Sports said maintaining the ministerial post is to violate the Constitution.
Being a minister after November 2 is against the Isles Constitution ? we have stepped down in respect of the Isle?s laws and regulations, Mbarouk explained. CUF had six ministers and three Deputy Ministers under the Government of National Unity (GNU). The other ministers are Fatma Abdulhabib Fereji, Minister of State in the First Vice President's Office, Minister of Trade, Industry and Marketing Nassor Ahmed Mazrui, Minister for Infrastructure and Communications Juma Duni Haji, Minister for Health Rashid Suleiman and Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Abdillah Jihad. Others are Haji Mwadini Makame who was the Deputy Minister for Lands, Housing, Water and Energy; Deputy Minister for Education and Vocational Training in Zahra Ali Hamad and Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Natural Resources Mtumwa Kheir Mbarak.
Late last month, ZEC Chairman Jecha Salum Jecha nullified results of Zanzibar presidential election giving a number of shortfalls in the conduct of the poll that had also contributed to delays in the compilation and announcement of the results.
According to Jecha, the ?shortfalls? included differences among ZEC members, with some having turned representatives of their respective parties. He also cited a number of irregularities, especially in Pemba, with the number of votes cast at some polling stations exceeding that of voters registered for the election.
