Former president Jakaya Kikwete officially left Ikulu today to begin his retirement life at Msoga village in Coast Region. The former president left the statehouse accompanied by his wife Salma late noon to Msoga using a helicopter.

On his way to board the copter, retired president waved goodbye to statehouse staff who lined up to bid him farewell.

President John Magufuli also escorted him to the helipad and waved goodbye to his predecessor until the helicopter disappeared in the sky.
