Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) leader, Raila Odinga, was on Thursday spotted drinking heavily at Nairobi West Mall hours after attending Pope Francis’ sermon at University of Nairobi grounds.

Raila, who was accompanied by Siaya Senator, James Orengo, was busted by snoops enjoying expensive single malt Scotch Glenfiddich estimated at Sh 9,000.

A source said Raila Odinga went to the pub to relax after his efforts to greet the Pope at UoN were thwarted by his no nonsense bodyguards.

Raila, who was accompanied by CORD principals, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula, went to the mass at UoN hoping that the Pope will recognise him because he is the Leader of Opposition in Kenya but when the Pope finished his sermon, he headed straight to St Mary’s School where he met religious leaders before heading to UNEP.
