New Music: MC Lyte f/ Common – ‘Dear John’

MC Lyte steps back to the mic with her first album in 11 years, due later this year. The hip-hop trailblazer teams with Common and 10Beats on the Loudbox-produced first offering, “Dear John.” The introspective song, which borrows lyrics from Puff Daddy’s “It’s All About the Benjamins,” is the anthem for #EducateOURMen, the scholarship initiative of MC Lyte’s Hip-Hop Sisters Foundation.
